There are two types of people in the world: those who cannot easily keep still, and those who cannot easily get moving. Over the next 6 days, the Sun is transiting the Gate of Inaction. This is a root fueled pressure to keep still, a necessary component of concentration. The purpose of this time is to provide the energy and determination necessary to focus on detailed work.
Due to the influence of Gate 52, you may find yourself feeling more withdrawn this week, or less social than usual, needing rest.
Harnessed correctly, this energy potential can provide the restraint to avoid distraction, relieving the adrenalized pressure to get things done. Another perfectly fruitful expression of this gate is simply to relax.
But, without anything specific to focus on, or a discomfort with rest, the lack of active energy can result in restlessness, which then turns to malaise.
Alternatively, an overwhelm of work combined with a refusal to be still can lead to stress and the dreaded feeling of “stuckness”.

Stimulation is the key to joy
For those feeling stuck or burnt out, ask yourself if there is way to be helpful to others that you might enjoy. This can help you to re-engage your energy, especially if you attention to detail is required (working with your hands to make a meal for family, for example). Even a solitary hobby such as crochet or completing a puzzle can loosen stagnant momentum and feel rejuvenating while resting the body.
For those feeling restless, addicted to your own stress, or unable to keep still, you may be avoiding something, motivated by an unconscious fear. Often it is a drive to prove yourself, which once recognized, can be released. Even simply acknowledging the hidden fear can transform it into something more manageable.
